New Discovery Circle Series on Post-Traumatic Growth Begins March 6

COUNCIL BLUFFS - Post-traumatic growth is the subject of a new Discovery Circle series launching March 6 at Wings of Hope Cancer Support Center. The six-part program will be held on consecutive Wednesdays from 5:00 to 6:30pm. Those interested can attend in person or via Zoom.

The series will be facilitated by Wings of Hope Executive Director Carolyn Ettinger and Ann Jones, program specialist. “We often hear about post-traumatic stress after life-changing events,” Ettinger said. “In this class, we will focus on post-traumatic growth.”

The Discovery Circle format allows for more in-depth exploration of topics and time to practice the skills needed to make lifestyle changes.

Attendees will be able to explore how trauma affects thinking, ways to process trauma, how to build strength and discover new life stories. The circle will use The Posttraumatic Growth Workbook by Richard Tedeschi and Bret Moore. Attendees can purchase their own copy or have relevant pages copied for them.

To register, call 712.325.8970 or email carolyn@wingsofhope.org.
