The programs offered through Wings of Hope Cancer Support Center are funded primarily through the generous donations of individuals and groups.

Fund-Raising Events

Wings of Hope has 3 major fund-raisers each year to raise money for programs.

Winter in Hollywood: Dancing with the Stars is the theme for our February 13, 2010 fund-raising event.

• We are excited to have Fiamma Taylor and Zach Mesenbrink, professional dancers, assist our 4 local celebrities in dancing performances.

The Wings of Hope Golf Tournament is scheduled at Bent Tree on July 9, 2010.

• We had a good turnout for the 2009 Golf Tournament. If you were unable to golf this year to support Wings of Hope maybe you can in 2010. Be watching our website for this information.

The Journey of Hope Bike Ride and Walk was held on September 27, 2009.

• If you were unable to participate in our bike ride and walk this year, maybe you can in 2010. It will be held the last Sunday of September 2010. Watch our website and your mail for future mailings of this event.

Wings of Hope volunteers come in all shapes and sizes!

It is time for the Annual Campaign mailing. Volunteers met on October 8, 2009 to stuff and seal envelopes for the mailing.

The Council Bluffs Altrusa Club has a received a $2000 grant from Altrusa International.

They are using the money to purchase and make items for our Hope Chest Renewal Room. Below are pictures of the Altrusa Club making neck wraps and seat belt covers.
